Moms are B-U-S-Y. No matter if they stay home, work full time, work part time, homeschool, it’s hard to shuffle the day-to-day needs of kids, your spouse, work, the housework, all of it. But because moms are rock stars, we all make it work.

It always interests me how other moms actually make it work every day. So let’s take a sneak peek! I’ve documented a pretty typical day in the life of my family and I. I’m a mother of two who works from home full-time. My kids are involved in a ton of sports and activities, so our days are always packed!

6:20 a.m.: My husband and I wake up. I make his lunch and feed and take our dogs outside.

6:40 a.m.: I see my husband off to work and I settle in to check email and get a headstart on work before the kids wake up.

7:15-8:30 a.m.: I wake the kids up and make sure they eat breakfast, get dressed, and have all of their stuff ready for school. I may also try to get some laundry done.

8:45 a.m.: Load the kids on the bus!

9 a.m.-noon: Work, work, work, work, work!

Noon-1:00 p.m.: This is typically my “lunch” break. I might eat or I might run errands or work out.

1 p.m.-4:00 p.m.: More work!

4 p.m.: My husband and the kids start arriving home from work and school. So we check homework, talk about the day, and figure out what the schedule for the night is.

4:15-6:30 p.m.: Here we will either eat an early dinner before a game or practice or we will already be off and out of the house for activities.

6:30 – 8 p.m.: Either we’re eating a later dinner or we’re shuttling kids back and forth for hockey or baseball or karate.

8:30-10:30 p.m.: On a good day the kids are in bed reading and my husband and I can take a little time to relax and watch TV. But let’s be honest – I’m usually also folding laundry!

10:30 p.m.: Bed!
